Winchester safesSilverado Series
The 2011 Silverado Series has been expanded upon since last year. There are now three models to choose from compared with only two in 2010.
The fire rating is still very good at 1.5 hours along with good locking bolt coverage and decent gun capacity. The key difference this year is that there are three models: Silverado 22, 37 and 49. While the Silverado 37 and 49 have the same stated capacity, the 49 is taller and has other more robust features.

Ranger winchester gun safeRanger Series
For 2011, the Ranger Series has been significantly overhauled. The entire series now has a one hour fire rating (up from 45 minutes) and the safe door now has locking bolts on all four sides (up from only 2 sides).
There are now 3 different models that range from 24-51 gun capacity and retail for approximately $1,200 to $2,000.
For an entry level safe line, the Ranger Series offers good value at an affordable price.

Deputy Series
For 2011, Winchester added the Deputy Series. The only model in the series is the Deputy 12. This is the entry level option from Winchester and does not have many of the better options.
However, you can pick this safe up for about $600-$700, so it is a better option than most gun cabinets.
